Virgin Atlantic aims to operate one of the youngest fleet of aircraft in the world. They have begun another stage of this development with the recent delivery of two new Airbus A340-600s, and have another 8 on order. Virgin Atlantic have also ordered another new Boeing 747-400 aircraft, due to have been delivered in 2003 and six Airbus A380s, due to be delivered from 2006.
